There are lessons to be learned for rural Nova Scotia. Greg Baeker is a cultural planner and consultant who is familiar with the stories from Ontario on the Creative Rural Economy.

Laurent D'Entremont
I date back to August of 1941, which accounts for my corny-type humor...it works for me. I started freelance writings which I do to this very day. I guess I do anything to keep from working...but standup comedy/storytelling is what I love.

12:00 LUNCH BREAK (cafeteria opens during the 50-minute lunch break)

12:50 Phil Milo "On Major Church"

Phil Milo
Phil has worked, lived and played in Lawrencetown for 31 years. Much of his time has been spent as a land surveyor. If anyone knows the town and the school's history it is him. He enjoys performing on stage, having appeared at King's theatre in Annapolis Royal or as Main Ring announcer for the Annapolis Valley Exhibition. Today he talks about Major Church, early-resident and founder of what is now COGS.
